Universal Hospital was the proud official medical partner of Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2017 - U.A.E., International Judo Competition organized by Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
In an unfortunate incident during the competition, Raed Salman, a Kuwaiti Judo Player, had a left elbow injury and was brought to Universal Hospitals. He underwent emergent surgery by our Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Rashed Ahmed Rashed Al Shaeel. Raed was cared for by the Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Team and was able to move his elbow the next day with braces.
His Excellency General Sheikh Ahmad Alnawaf Alsabah - the Crown Prince of Kuwait and Deputy Commander of the Military of Kuwait visited Raed at Universal and wished him a speedy recovery.
